Natural German Specialties: Charlotte Meentzen Cosmetics

I just got back from the UK not too long ago, and when I got home I noticed that my mother had brought me some tester sachets of Charlotte Meenzen creams.  They were all from the product line called Kräutervital, from which I received two active herbal creams, one orchid lotion, one tinted day cream with macadamia nut oil, one lotus cream, and one vitamin day cream, which I've used already.  To view the product description click on the link below, the site can be viewed in English or German:

Today I'm going to review their vitamin day cream.  I tend to avoid day creams just because my skin breaks out very easily.  My skin can be a bit on the oily side and I tend to have some very deep sitting blackheads.  Despite my doubts I was not disappointed with this product, especially since I took the risk of applying it during the summer in Hungary (which can get really hot! 40°C hot in the sun sometimes! but I was so curious I couldn't wait until the weather cooled down a bit :D).  My face did not break out from this product whatsoever.  Even though at first it does seen a bit oily when you apply it, once it has absorbed it almost gives your skin a bit of a matte feeling.  It smells really nice, slightly floral, and its texture is very light, and wouldn't surprise me if it was water-based, you can even apply a little bit of foundation on top.  The cream is white and not tinted, and you don't need much for good coverage.  You only need a small amount to massage evenly into your skin, therefore it is very long-lasting.  One sachet (2.5ml) lasted 3 days!  These products however are quite pricey (as I was told), but in my experience usually really good quality products with higher prices tend to last a lot longer, and in the long run are totally worth their money.

I will be trying the other products in due time, some of them I will only be able to test during the winter months as they are for dry skin, and I'm sure that I'm not the only one who suffers from dry skin during the winter.  To sum up I definitely think that this is a product line worth checking out and experimenting with :)!

Természetes Német Különlegességek: Charlotte Meentzen Kozmetikumok

Nem rég jöttem haza az Egyesült Királyságból, és esztrevettem hogy édesanyám hozott nekem Charlotte Meentzen krémeket kis próbatasakokban.  A Kräutervital termékcsaládból kaptam kettő darab kräutervital krémet (kräutervital-creme), egy darab orchidea krémet (orchidee-creme flüssig), egy darab színezett nappali krémet (tagescreme getönt naturell mit macademia-nüssöl), egy darab lótusz krémet (lotus-creme), és egy darab vitaminos nappali krémet (vitamin tagescreme) amelyt már el is használtam.  A linken a termék megtekinthető angolul és németül:

Most a vitaminos nappali krémről fogok beszélni.  Egy kicsit tartottam a nappali krémektől mivel a bőröm nagyon hamar kiütéses lesz.  A bőröm amúgy eléggé olajos, és előfordulnak nálam nagyon mélyen ülő miteszerek.  De ebben a termékben egyáltalán nem csalódtam, még annak ellenére hogy most ebben a nyári melegben vittem fel az arcomra reggel (nem bírtam ki annyira kíváncsi voltam :D).  Nem lettem kiütéses tőle, és attól hogy eleinte egy kicsit zsíros felvitele után, nagyon hamar felszívódik és kissé mattítja a bőrt.  Illata kellemes, kissé virágos, állaga pedig könnyű és nem lepne meg ha vízalapú lenne, még egy kis alapozót is lehet a tetejére kenni.  A krém fehér és nem színezett, és nem kell belőle sok, csak egy vékony rétegek kell egyenletesen eloszlattni a arcbőrön, így ez az egy próbatasak (2,5 ml) is három alkalomra elég volt.  Árban nem olcsók, de én mindig úgy veszem észre hogy a jó minőségű, kissé drágább termékek mindig jobbak, és sokkal tartósabbak, így hosszú távon megérik az árukat.

A többi terméket időben kipróbálom, de van amelyiket majd csak télen tudom csak, mivel némelyik száraz bőrre való, és többnyire nem csak nekem, de másoknak is, a téli évszakben szárad ki legjobban a bőre. Összegezve, szerintem ez egy termékcsalád amelybe érdemes belenézni és kipróbálni :).

Ma elmentem a Müller-be és vettem pár dolgot.  Úgy döntöttem hogy kibróbálok még egy ajakbalzsamot, a Terra Naturi-től vettem egy kamillás és jojoba kivonatút.  Eddig számomra a DM Alverde márkájából a Körömvirág (Calendula) ajakbalzsam vált be, nem szívja ki a bőrt az ajkaimon és nem hámlik, de azért kíváncsiságból kipróbálok más termékeket is, mert soha nem lehet tudni hogy mikor szüntetnek meg egy terméket, gondolom mindenki járt így valamikor az életében, és néha nagyon nehéz egy újabb, megfelelő terméket találni.

Vettem még a Helia D-től két terméket.  Édesanyám szokott használni Helia D ránctalanítót és testápolót, és sok jót hallottam a termékeikről, ezért most én is ki fogom őket próbálni :).  Vettem egy Helia D Classic Hidratáló Éjszakai Krémet (minden bőrtípusra) és egy Tápláló Arctisztító Tejet (száraz bőrre).  Kíváncsi vagyok az eredményekre :).

Today I went to Müller and bought a few things.  I decided to try another lip balm, this time from Terra Naturi, I bought their Camomile and Jojoba balm.  Up until now the best lip balm I've had and still use is DM's Calendula lip balm from their Alverde product line.  It doesn't suck the moisture from my lips, nor do my lips peel from use.  I bought this new product to try out of curiousity because you never know when a company will suddenly stop making one of your favourite products, and then the search goes on for the right product once again.

I also bought two products from the brand Helia D, which is a Hungarian brand.  My mother sometimes uses their anti-wrinkle creams and body lotions, not to mention that I've heard a lot of good feedback regarding their products, and now I have decided to try them out for myself :).  I bought their Moisturising Night Cream for all skin types and their Nourishing Cleansing Milk for dry skin.  I am looking forward to seeing the results :).

Gondoltam gyorsan elmesélem a blog nevének a hátterét.  Mivel Kanadában is Magyarországon nőttem fel gondoltam hogy kitalálok olyan címet amely a magyar és az angol nyelveknek a keveréke.  A "szép" az ugyan egyértelmű, de az "etty" az az angol szó "pretty"-nek egy darabja, amely szintén szépet jelent, ezért lett "szépetty" :).  Gondoltam hogy az "r" betű is kellene, de valahogy nem hangzott olyan jól, nem pereg le úgy a nyelvről mint nélküle :).

I thought I'd tell you all how the name of the blog came to be.  Because I grew up in Canada and Hungary I thought I'd figure out a title that would be a mixture of both the Hungarian language and the English language.  The word "szép" means pretty in Hungarian, so I combined the English word "pretty" with it, and that's how it became "szépetty" :).  I thought about adding the "r" in pretty as well, but it just didn't roll off the tongue as it does without it I think :).

Már nagyon vártam hogy ma képeket is tudjak felrakni, de az usb kábelem sehol sincs, szerintem Skóciában hagytam, de mindegy, majd holnap remélhetőleg lesznek képek is :)!

I was really looking foward to posting some pictures today, but my usb cable is nowhere in sight, I think I might have left it in Scotland, oh well, tomorrow I'll hopefully get some pictures up :)!

Röviden elmondom hogy miről is fog szólni a blogom.  Már egy ideig követek pár embert Youtube-on akik a gasztronómiai és szépészeti különlegességeiket mutatják be nézőiknek, és inspiráltak hogy én is hasonló témában kezdjek el bemutatni hazai és Európán belüli különlegességeket.  Remélem mindenki élvezni fogja posztjaimat.  Posztjaimat magyarul és angolul fogom írni.
